Blugirl’s spring/summer 2012 collection was a burst of candy colours fit for ladies- who-lunch and springtime champagne garden parties. Starting with a string of playful dresses, the show smoothly transitioned into black and white dresses. However, it was really the feminine colour palette that stole the show.
The collection was comprised of botanical elements: butterflies, flowers and feathers, with a retro twist. Hemlines were lengthened with an equal balance between pleated knee-length skirts and flowing maxis.
It was certainly based on a sharp yet delicate colour palette: hot pinks balanced out with pastel neutrals; lime green mixed with powder white; and peachy sequins to add a touch of glimmer to the collection.
